What Makes a Sea Ray a Sea Ray?

Ritch explained Sea Ray’s five Brand Pillars and how they help set us apart. They guide everything we do.

Inspired Design

When you see a Sea Ray, you know it. And it's love at first sight. That's because every Sea Ray is designed with classic, yet current, Sea Ray styling. But a Sea Ray is more than just style. It's also designed with a deep understanding of consumer needs and an anticipation of their desires. Our staff of naval architects, engineers and designers strive to make every interaction on a Sea Ray feel natural and seamless. And we continue to set new industry benchmarks for thoughtful and modern design. It's all in the pursuit of creating an experience that's perfectly, distinctively Sea Ray.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

Sea Ray has always been obsessed with details because, like you, we’re sticklers for perfection. The meticulous stitching, the superior fabrics, the enduring materials, the refined accents. Every nuance has helped us build a reputation that’s synonymous with quality. Sea Ray boats combine the mastery of craftsmanship with the precision of industry-leading technology for a caliber of construction you won’t find anywhere else. And our strict testing protocols make sure every Sea Ray lives up to its name and everything it stands for.

Effortless Performance

A Sea Ray always performs with grace. Every ride is engineered to be agile, responsive, intuitive and as powerful as you want it to be. You won't sacrifice experience for maximum horsepower. On a Sea Ray, your ride is smooth and quiet, with everything controlled but the adrenaline rush. It's built to handle with confidence, whether you're towing a wakeboarder or effortlessly maneuvering up to the dock. Escape and adventure. Both are seamlessly delivered.

That's why you'll find a level of support and commitment to customer satisfaction that's unmatched by any other marine manufacturer. We earn more awards for dealer performance, quality and customer satisfaction than any other marine brand. With dealers in more than 80 countries, an industry-leading warranty and 24/7 call support, you can be confident that Sea Ray stands beside you.

And you'll be part of a passionate online and onboard community that's all about celebrating life on the water.

What’s the Difference Between a Sundancer, SLX, SDX and SPX?

Joey described the differences between Sea Ray’s models. SPX models are well-equipped boats with space, storage and optional upgrades to fit your lifestyle and get your family out on the water. SDX models are “SUVs of the water.” With plush seating and lots of storage space, they’re made to seat everyone in your group and store your watersports gear. SLX models offer the widest range of boats. They’re ideal for entertaining and day trips, and offer a sleek look, luxurious amenities and multiple social areas. Sundancer models allow you to enjoy multiple days out on the water with spacious cabins for overnighting and social zones to enjoy during the day. These larger boats are packed with popular amenities.

What’s the Difference Between an SLX 400 and a Sundancer?

Ritch explained the SLX 400, known as “The Entertainer,” is designed for maximum space up top. It’s great for day-long trips with the option for overnighting. The Sundancer offers more comforts and is equipped for multiple nights with a bigger cabin and head, and multiple sleeping areas.

What is Quiet Ride?

It’s technology that enhances the boating experience. Ritch shared that Quiet Ride delivers a smoother and quieter ride. It makes boating more comfortable and conversations easier to hear. It features Tuned Transom technology from Omni Products that dampens vibration and noise by absorbing energy before it can travel. Quiet Ride also isolates points to minimize Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH).

What is Your Favorite Sea Ray and Why?

Joey said that he thinks the Sundancer 320 is beautiful, runs great and does everything he looks for in a boat. Ritch replied that he prefers SLX models. He likes their sleekness, attention to detail, performance, handling and how they’re perfect for entertaining friends and family.
